Subnet Calc HD is a network administrator’s toolbox for IPv4 subnetting. It shows you all information about subnets in decimal, hexadecimal and binary formats and allows you to save subnets for easy access later. There is also a handy calculator always available at the tap of a button and an aggregator to allow you to find the smallest subnet that encompasses a given set of IP addresses.

Subnet Calc HD is a valuable tool for any network administrator who owns an iPad and a great compliment to Subnet Calc & Subnet Calc Pro for iPhone.

Please feel free to leave comments here if you have used my application and have found it useful – I would very much like as much feedback as possible.

I enjoyed the ip calc app for the iPhone and iPad, but I was wondering if I could comment on something that I thought was missing. I’m in a Cisco boot camp and I was looking for an ip calc to explain some things about subnetting. While looking through all of the apps in the app store (even on android as well) I noticed that non of them allow you to view the in entire ip range. Since I enjoyed your app the most I thought I would share my thoughts. Viewing the entire range of each subnet can be very helpful from an educational stand point, and also from a designing stand point as well. I was wondering if this my be something up and coming on the next up date or perhaps it’s just not in the cards. Thanks again for the great work. Love the app.

  2. @Brian – I was wondering what you meant by this? Do you mean to be able to see each IP address in some form of layout and select certain hosts to define as certain machines? Or do you mean a view of the entire 0.0.0.0 – 255.255.255.255 and where your chosen subnet lies? If you could give specifics of what you’d like to see then that would be excellent as it’d help me develop the app.

I’ll give you a heads up – this is actually on the cards for me. I was trying to get it into the first version of Subnet Calc HD but I decided it wasn’t quite ready yet! Hopefully next time :-) .

I manage my three subnets and what I too need is the ability to identify by host name to which ip is assigned in each subnet.

  4. @Ron – That’s a feature in my other app Subnet Calc Pro which you might want to take a look at. I do have plans to add this to Subnet Calc HD as well however. Please await future updates for more details.
